Housing Stats for September 2007: Lots Of Changes, Depending On The Area

Today I compared August 2007 & September 2007 housing stats for real estate transactions by county in our area.

Orange County had some big changes: a 71% increase in the average selling price, a 33% increase in the number of houses sold, and a 43% increase in median selling price from August to September.

The City of Charlottesville also had a few big changes: a 56% decrease in the number of houses sold, a 33% increase in the average selling price, and a 37% increase for the average days on the market.

Other significant changes from August 2007 to September 2007...

Greene County had a 37% decrease in number of houses sold from August to September.

Louisa County had a 42% decrease in the average days on the market from August to September.

Fluvanna County had a 51% decrease in the number of houses sold from August to September.

Nelson County had a 38% increase in the average days on the market from August to September.

Albemarle County had a 43% decrease in the number of houses sold from August to September.
