Affordable Housing May Be Coming To Charlottesville & Albemarle

Bill Edgerton, a member of the Albemarle Planning Commission, and Frazier Bell, a mortgage banker, have been investigating Community Land Trust, which may bring a broader range of housing options, including more affordable housing, to residents in Albemarle County and Charlottesville.

Thank you! They are certainly to be commended for going above and beyond the call of duty. Also a big thank you to the anonymous donor who is funding this research project. We don't need to reinvent the wheel, but we should see what others are doing about this critical issue.

Many local residents need affordable housing, perhaps even your children or your parents in their latter years, a single professional who is going through a divorce, etc. The reasons are many... let's plan for the future.
